MRNPC did not meet this month, next meeting scheduled 6May14.
Elections to be held in May2014. No updates on MedImpact or Watermark projects until next month.

IV. Information Reports, Presentations & Discussion
A. Port Master Plan Update (Rafael Castellanos, Commissioner, Unified Port of San Diego)
Support from communities to give input for projects via online survey concerning major developments under Port Authority jurisdiction, covering 20 parks (A Ring of Green around the bay)
Tenets on Port Authority property receive 30-40 year leases via a private public partnership. No taxes are levied, share in the profits of the tenet.
B. American Red Cross Prepare San Diego, Emergency Planning and Preparation
(Ricardo Moran, American Red Cross)
A four year initiative to train one million people how to prepare for a disaster.
Lessons learned from the Katrina Hurricane observed that when communities are prepared for disasters they do not need help. Each family and each community must prepare for various types of disasters, with a written plan and a practice session. See website for more info.
C. Scripps Performing Arts Academy (A .Amoroso)
Update on plans for a new CUP under K-12 school instead of a dance school. Initially it may be private school and may revert to a charter school. This 10 acre parcel is located in a Prime Industrial Zone. The desired location is next to the library. Will speak with Alliant concerning their property.
D. Chairperson's Report (W. Wulfeck)
COW next session is 17May2014 at to MOCII Auditorium in Kearney Mesa
CPC Meeting: Approved HUD San Diego Council Policy 600-24
Discussion on alcohol licensing and code enforcement
In September discuss the 5year program for Capital Improvements. Everything submitted last year will be remain on the books. No new submissions required.

VI. Committee Reports
A. SR LMD-MAD (M. Sorensen) – Update
Mapping under revision consideration. Rec council approved name change. Ribbon cutting 17April14 for the Stoneridge park opening ceremoty. It will be available during summer for adult softball leagues. Rec Council area map now includes Stonebridge.
B. MCAS Miramar (J. Lyons) – Not present
C. Ad Hoc Committee on Carroll Canyon Commercial Center (Wulfeck) – EIR not completed yet. We may need to have an extra meeting in May 2014 in order to review and vote on the EIR if its released by the end of April 2014. An adhoc subcommittee meeting will be held with new members and developer to introduce the project to the new members. SRPG will contact T.Kempton to discuss the city’s temperature concerning this project.
Place Renzulli Property sale on agenda for next month SRPG meeting.
